M@M BOUTIQUE

This combination record shop and urban outfitter is run and operated by DJ Mykal, a figurehead among Taipei's indie, electro and dance club scene. Mykal cut his teeth appearing at the underground haunt Spin which was home to indie hipsters and techno freaks alike. When Spin closed in 2004, he became resident DJ at the more upscale venue Party Room and got more guest spots at top clubs like LUXY and MoS. During this time, Mykal also became an entrepreneur in the music industry opening M@M Boutique, a shop offering a wide variety of techno music including drum 'n' bass, dubstep and trance on wax alongside western indie rock and Japanese electronica CDs. M@M is decorated with various knickknacks and toys as well as club fashions for sale and DJ Mykal can sometimes be seen testing records on the turntables set up at the counter.
