HORNY CIGARETTES

After her punk band Mary Jane's Friends crashed in 2005, lead vocalist Freakie went solo. Taking influence from bands like Joy Division and Le Tigre, she created some introspective electronica tracks that make use of elements of downtempo, post-punk and indie rock.

By 2008, Freakie was performing as Horny Cigarettes at places like the Underworld and events like White Label. She even self released an EP using her own artwork for the cover. Freakie currently does gallery shows around Taipei for her awkwardly attractive sketches as well as to promote her music.
